Last night I held Write Louisville’s first mixer at Meta – craft talk over craft cocktails.
Tonight at KMAC, I’m teaching the first of four free memoir workshops tied to their new William J. O’Brien exhibit. You can register on their website for tonight’s workshop or any of the upcoming workshops.
But, back to Meta.
Although Meta does not have a happy hour, I really enjoy going there right when they open at 5 pm and lingering for a few hours. There tends to be a light crowd and good music that’s played low enough that you can still hold a conversation.
Natalie, one of their finest bartenders, was behind the bar last night. She whipped me up a beautiful little drank called “Northern Lights.”
I plan to do WriLou mixers every other month or so. Follow Write Louisville on Facebook to stay in the loop on all the upcoming events.
